Bosch Rexroth Botswana appoints new General Manager

Riaan Loots has been appointed General Manager of Bosch Rexroth Botswana, effective 7 July 2021.

Riaan brings a wealth of experience across a wide range of industry applications throughout Africa to his new position. He began his career at Denel before moving to CSIR Defencetek. He then put his design skills to good use at Busaf Bauer before researching the agglomeration of coal fines. Riaan then managed Larox/Outotec in Zambia and Ghana, and Sulzer Pumps in Zambia thereafter. He worked for Multotec before joining Bosch Rexroth in South Africa.

Having lived and worked in various African countries for ten years, Riaan is familiar with customers from Mauritania to west, central and southern Africa. He holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration, a Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering and a National Diploma in 3D Design.

“I look forward to this opportunity to lead and manage the Botswana office, where I will pursue sustainable growth while also developing and maintaining good customer relationships,” says Riaan Loots.

He will report to Hytec South Africa General Manager, Mike Harrison, who wishes him every success in his new role.
